The Woodsman (Movie about a sex offender)

I know the movie came out last year, but I just rented the DVD and watched it. If you haven't seen it yet and can stomach it, I really highly suggest it. It's not too often you can look inside the mind of a sexual preditor.

I'm really curious to hear what those of you who saw the movie thought?

The movie scared me. I saw my offenders mind. It helped me to understand some things. It still sends chills up and down my spine. I couldn't help thinking of my own childhood when I watch the other guy groom his victim.

From reading the description on the case I couldn't tell if it was sympathetic to the child molester, so did not rent it.

Is it more of an informative documentary or very graphic sensationalism. If the later, I would be too afraid to watch it.

It's not really a documentary, but I found it to be educational. It goes along with the article on Grooming one's victims. The only difference is you see it played out. You do NOT see anyone being abused.

I think the movie was rather sad, but true. I'm glad I saw it, and think I might renting the video, just to see if I get anything else out of it. It's been awhile since I saw it in the theator.
