Dear Friends:

I anticipate the number of emails to pick up as we get nearer March 1^st and thereafter.

I spoke with Sen. Brochin’s legislative aid yesterday on several topics. One issue that I have been trying to get clarified is who should testify? Early on, Senator Brochin said that only MD residents should testify. After pressing the senator that may survivors that were abused in MD no longer live in MD but they would be directly affected by this legislation, shouldn't they have he opportunity to testify? He agreed. IF YOU ARE A SURVIVOR WHO WAS ABUSED WHILE LIVING IN MD, PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO TESTIFY ON MARCH 1^ST! YOUR TESTIMONY IS NEEDED. We are now getting down to the final 2 weeks before our hearing. It’s game time.

If anyone has any questions as to what to say in your testimony, please contact me. At this time, the most important thing to do is prepare your testimony, practice it, and KEEP IT UNDER 3 MINUTES. They will stop you if you go over your time limit.
