Stein was arrested and charged with eight counts of having sex with a student. The alleged sex acts occurred on campus during the 2006-07 school year. The student was a 16-year-old male.

I think that this is absolutely inappropriate. It scares me and I was considering sending my child to that school, but now I am not going to. I think that there needs to be more information directly from the school which he was at. Glenn Drew should make a public announcement.
I think that "concerned parent" is a misinformed outsider. I am a student/faculty member at the school, and being that I know the Rabbi and the student involved, and the administration, I have a different opinion.
Yes, the Rabbi is and adult, and yes, the student is a minor, but you don't know anything else about the case. Everybody says that the student involved is the victim. I know the student, and I have seen the moral decadence of this school and the student body, and I will tell you that this student is not the victim. It is my personal belief that the student knew full well what they were doing, was doing it consensually, and should be punished as defined by the school's policy on students partaking in sexual activity. I agree that the Rabbi should be fired for violating his power agreement with the student, but not charged for anything else. Knowing the Rabbi, I can fairly say that I know he would never have hurt anyone intentionally. Anyone who says he "raped" the student is either misinformed on the case or using the word in a legal sense.
Rabbi Stein may have had "consensual" sex with a student however he knew he was a minor and had an uneven power dynamic because of his postion at the Academy. Dr. Tammy Williams has quite the reputation for hooking in the young female ones but she doesn't go fishing at the Academy. He should be fired, the student expelled and frankly it should end there. Glenn Drew is a nutjob, Gary Grandon should have been put out to pasture a decade ago, he's the Ultimate nutjob over there. With this type of slimy leadership and a school build on stolen funds from Chico Sabbah, who was convicted of fraud, it smells something like a garbage dump around there from the top down. No way would I send my child to that school, it's a place built on lies, theft, dysfunction and mental illness.
