Civil Suit Filed Against Rabbi David Kedmi - Certified Mohel (New Hempstead, NY)

A civil suit has been filed against Rabbi David Kedmi to recover damages for Battery and Breach of Contract.
On February 25, 2007, in Kings County, New York, Rabbi David Kedmi conducted a ritual circumcision ("bris") and baby naming ceremony for the parents of infant twin boys. During the celebration the mother was sexually harassed and groped by Rabbi Kedmi.
According to the complaint, Rabbi David Kedmi made lewd and sexual comments took place in the presence of one or more witnesses, including Rabbi Kedmi's wife. The mother also stated that Rabbi Kedmi touched her sexually.
The Survivor contacted Rabbi Jacob Rubenstein (the Young Israel of Scarsdale synagoguge) who was the rabbi who referred her to Rabbi Kedmi, and also Rabbi Mark Dratch (Director/founder of JSAFE). It appears that this was not the first sexual harassment complaint filed against Rabbi Kedmi. What is surprising is that little has been done to stop this alleged sexually offensive individual.
After several conversations with Both Rabbis Rubenstein and Dratch, the "Survivor" was assured that Rabbi Kedmi was undergoing treatment and that steps would be taken to protect other women from Rabbi Kedmi's predatory conduct, yet Rabbi Rubinstein and Rabbi Dratch would not provide details as to any "treatment plan,".

I wonder if David Kedmi davens by Mordechai Tendler's old shul, one of the only shuls in New Hempstead. (Or maybe even at the private minyan in Tendler's house).
Kedmi, who has been a mohel for 35 years, lived previously in Englewood, NJ, and Bridgeport, CT.

I was wondering the smae thing about Tendler and Kedmi. I also am upset that JSAFE has done nothing to protect others from being harmed by this man. But then again JSAFE is nothing more then extension of the RCA.
One of the links also shows that Mark Dratch is connected to Saul Berman. Berman has been a Gafni supporter for years. How can we put our trust in anyone who is associated with Berman?

J-Safe run by Rabbi Mark Dratch is like a kitten without claws.
I have been following his website since it was put up.
If I was running organization whoose goal was to educate and certify schools and teachers who have been trained vis a vis sexual abuse I would list every school that the program was presented in. That would establish credibility as a real organization.
Until now , NADA, nothing has been listed.
Rabbi Dratch seems to have no formal education dealing with these issues.
On his Board of Dirctors are a brother in law and a sister in law who are mental health care professionals. Although I do not beleive that either Dr Lamm ( psychiatrist) and rivky Lamm ( MSW ) ae experts in the field.
Albeit the professional title and the last name Lamm attempts to bring credibility to the organization.
It should be pointed out that Rabbi Dratch serves in the capacity of the Chariman of the Rabbinical Council of America's Va'ad hakavod. The pirpose of the Va'ad HaKavod is to investigate member Rabbis of the RCA for ethical violations.
Seeems rather strange to me that a Rabbi who has alleegdly committed sexual abuse repeatdly and a Rabbi who says that the prime Minster of Israel should be assimated are not investigated and censured if the investigation finds the facts to be true.
Grabbing a woman in a improper way is like making a statement " informaly and off the cuff." Plain wrong and immoral. It is a shame that Rabbis coverup their own. sound slike the Blue code of silence in the NYPD, To bad ours are rabbis who wear Yarmulkas.
But thats what happens when you let the chicken guard the chicken coup. Nothing!!!!
Rabbi David Kedmi circumcised my first son in 2009, after we saw him do a great job at a friend brit.
We wanted to use him again for our second son.
My husband called Rabbi David Kedmi from the hospital and booked him for today at 11am. His wife sent us a confirmation and instructions, we were all set.
Last night at 8pm his wife called and informed me that he had to leave the country on an urgent matter and she just got back from the airport.
I was very upset, we had catering coming and family invited.
In response, she told me that she also has problems, and hinted that something bad has caused his immediate departure from the country. Without much choice, we decide to take the replacement she recommended Rabbi Boruch Mozes.
But today, at the same time of our home brit, Rabbi Kedmi was performing a brit at Beth Elohim in Brooklyn! He also told my friend that he has two others today (none of which were mine). The brit at Beth Elohim was a large event, with much exposure and could not have been booked last night at 8pm. He was not available when we called, but he chose to book us and then pass us on a younger mohel.
A brit is not a business to trade and profit from by lying!
I feel very upset and cheated, and a day that supposed to be a happy one, has been tinted.
I received a call earlier from a man Kedmi canceled on for tomorrow with the same excuse, asking for a recommendation for rabbi Mozes, so this is systematic for Kedmi
